Careers Programme 2023/2024
Work Placement
The following video clip outlines the work experience process from securing an appropriate placement through to expectations whilst on work experience. The clip also details how students can use their placement to evidence employability skills on applications and at interviews. The additional videos feature two former Kelvin Hall students discussing their work experience placements Hull City Council and Hull & East Yorkshire NHS Trust.
I went on a careers visit in Year 10 with Raceway Training and learnt about maintaining the karts. I talked to the careers team about work experience and they asked about my interests and the things that I enjoy. I explained that I had enjoyed the Raceway session and that I would maybe like to work in a garage. They helped me to get a work placement at MGR Autos.
The Careers Team have always supported me throughout my time at Kelvin and are now helping me with my application to study mechanics.
