Congratulations to our Young Enterprise teams for their amazing performance at the North & South Humber Area Showcase Competitions. We are delighted that both Kelvin Hall Crafts and Konnect qualified for the county finals in May.
Kelvin Hall Crafts scooped the awards for ‘Best Social Ethical & Environmental Company’ and ‘Best Company’. Konnect also collected awards for ‘Best Teamwork & Communication’ and ‘Runner-Up Best Company’.
The Young Enterprise Company programme is designed to give pupils aged between 15 and 18 the opportunity to see for themselves how a business is run, from deciding on a company name and strategy, electing a management team, designing and manufacturing a product (or service), then marketing it. Not only can they hope to generate and share the profits from their efforts but to also learn invaluable commercial skills with the help of business mentors from KCom and Goodwin Development Trust.
Kelvin Hall Crafts would also like to thank their partner companies who have provided them with materials and support – MGR Autos, FR Scott’s, MKM and Hull Training (Engineering).
Additional thanks also to Strawberry Too and Sowden & Sowden for help designing the team logos.
