Free School Meals
Kelvin Hall offers a free school meals service to ensure that all of our students are able to enjoy a good quality, nutritious meal during the school day regardless of their circumstances.
Pupils can choose from a range of healthy meal deals including a main course, pudding and a drink. A menu of the food available at the school this term is available to download from the catering page of the website.
Parents and carers can claim free school meals for their child or children if they are in receipt of one of the following:
- Income support, or
- Income based jobseekers allowance, or
- Child tax credit with an annual income of up to £16,190, or
- Income related employment and support allowance (ESA-IR), or
- Guaranteed element of state pension credit, or who are
- Asylum seekers who are supported by the National Asylum Support Service
In order to receive the free meals, parents and carers need to fill in a EWB1 form, which gives details of how their family qualifies and how many children they are applying for.
Here is the free school meals application form or you can call the school to have a form posted to you.
The form can then be posted to Hull City Council’s education welfare and benefits team at the Municipal Buildings, Trippett Street, Hull, HU2 8AA. Alternatively, you can hand your form in to the school, who will send it off for you.
